A ceremony by itself, the vows and the pronouncement as a married couple is a beautiful thing, and complete in itself. However, sometimes you may just want to add a special touch, something that will reflect you to your guests. Below are some additional ceremonies that can be incorporated into your ceremony.

Unity Candle Ceremony

Bride and Groom have chosen to commemorate their vows with a candle ceremony.

The two lighted candles on the sides represent each of your lives, all that has happened throughout your lives to make you the individuals you are today. The candle in the center represents your new life together as one.

Please take your individual candles and together light the center one signifying this joining.

Now blow out your individual candle showing that your lives as individuals are over and you are now united as one.

The Sand Ceremony

Excellent for two people or for joining two families together

Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand, one, representing you, Bride, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Groom, and all that you were and all that you are , and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.

Today you join your separate lives together and this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual.

Wine Sharing Ceremony

Wine is a living thing, or at least the organisms within it are. Wine is also indicative of the life journey,

First it is made of grape juice, pressed from the grapes, innocuous.

Then it is fermented, which creates a sour mixture,

But in the end it turns into a superior product that yields a wonderful taste and brings joy.

I want you Groom to take the glass and drink from it, then hold it for your bride to drink from.

May your glass always be full and may you always drink from the same glass, sharing all as you have today.

There are other Special Touches that can be added to your ceremony including the Love Letter and Wine Box Ceremony and the Rose Ceremony.
